What's New at the Linguist, Linguist Update, August 2004
As many of you may have noticed we continue to make refinements to our system.
Recent improvements include the Task List Flow Chart and Daily Study Plan sections.
We are very excited about these two new additions as we feel they will help learners to maximize their learning efficiency.
Follow the blueprint laid out by these two features and you will quickly see progress.
We have also made changes to our Help Menu in order to make information about our system more accessible and easier to find.
You will see in our Help Menu, the return of Steve's Tips.
This is an item we used to have in previous versions and is now back in the form of video tips from Steve on how to best use each section of the site.
Check these out!
There is all kinds of support information available in the Help Menu.
Please take advantage of it.
Go to our Forum and participate in a forum on language learning or our system in general.
Take advantage of this opportunity to practice your written English.
Cut and paste your forum postings into our WRITE section for correction by your coach.
You will also see that in MEASURE we have added an achievements section where you will see a variety of graphs tracking your achievements.
As we continue to make improvements we always appreciate member feedback.
If you have any comments or suggestions on our recent changes we would love to hear them.
Please email us at: suggestions@thelinguist.com .
After the successful spring launch of The Linguist book in China we are looking forward to the Taiwanese launch in the fall.
Due to the demand we are finding in China largely due to the book launch we are going to be setting up a server in China.
This should improve the speed of our site for you learners in China.
Otherwise we continue to add new, interesting content all the time.
We are continually looking for new sources of content to draw from.
If you have any content you would like to see on our site please let us know.
