Dr. Laura, The Word "Uncomfortable"

Dr. Laura: Let's take a second out and talk about this word "uncomfortable." It's especially a word that women use and in pop-psych little group sessions they instruct people -- or at least they used to -- I don't know if that nonsense still happens. You know, if somebody is uncomfortable everything else has to stop. That has to be taken care of because nobody should be doing anything that makes somebody else uncomfortable. And you see how this has grown into our society with so-called "hate speech", which is anything the Left doesn't want to hear. So, you make me uncomfortable with that. I'm offended by that; therefore, you can't speak it. The things that you can't speak today are love of God, love of country, love of the President, love of the Bible, love of commandments, love of values, love of morals. You can't speak about those. You realize talking about God and morals is hate speech to certain groups. So, this notion of if something makes you uncomfortable you can dictate censorship of whatever that thought or expression was in that other person. It's very dangerous. I don't suggest you do it in your family. I don't suggest you do it in your marriages. I hear it a lot that women do this to men. That makes me uncomfortable. The guy is supposed to fall on his sword then, you know? He's supposed to bleed to death and be gone. You've made her uncomfortable. I'm uncomfortable with that; therefore, it cannot happen! Come on. Get over your discomfort. Live with a little discomfort.
