The Dragon Boat Festival is a Festival on the Chinese calendar. At this festival, Chinese people eat a pyramid-shaped mass of glutinous rice wrapped in leaves. It is considered tradition to the Chinese. It is said that there once was a man, named Chu Yuan. As he was unable to gain the respect of the emperor, in his sorrow, Chu Yuan threw himself into the Mi Low river. Many days had passed, and the Chinese were unable to find Chu Yuan. People rowed their boats and threw rice into the waters to appease the river dragons. They didn't want the dragons and fish to eat Chu Yuan's body. This is the history of the Dragon Boat Festival.
