What's New at the Linguist, September 2005

I wish I could say that we have a whole host of new features to talk about this month but unfortunately we finally decided to give our technical team some time off in August. Yes, even computer programmers need vacations some time! We have been making minor adjustments here though which we hope will make the site work better and, of course, attract new members.

One thing we have done is to increase the length of the free trial from seven days to fourteen days. We had a lot of requests from people wanting to increase the length of their trial because they felt they were unable to test it thoroughly during the initial trial week. We are hoping that it will not only give people more time to try the system but also attract more people to take the trial. We know that once people get the hang of our system they will, of course, want to stay.

We continue to encourage our members to give us their thoughts and impressions of our system to share. Please take the time to visit our Japanese and Chinese Linguist Community Blogs. Feel free to post your comments to any of the postings you see. Also if you would like to post your own thoughts, let us know and we can set up access for you to these blogs.

Lastly I want to thank all our members who answered our questionnaire of a few weeks ago asking for feedback and suggestions as we design our new version. When it is built, our new system will be better than ever and it is only with regular member feedback that we can make this happen. Keep the suggestions coming!
