What's New at the Linguist, System Update: November 2004
We have had no major updates to our system in the last month.
We continue to fix minor problems that come up and any quick fixes which can improve the user experience.
I would like to thank all of our users who send us feedback or let us know when they find bugs in our system.
I would also like to thank all of our users who responded to the recent survey we sent out.
Over the next few months we are planning to implement many of the suggestions that have been made to us by our learners.
We are looking at ways to provide more explanations and translations for phrases and compound words.
We are looking at ways to provide pronunciation of words and phrases.
We are looking at enhancing the writing correction system to allow writing samples to be automatically loaded into the imported content section.
This way phrases saved from your writing will have at least one example attached from your own writing correction.
We are also looking at more customization for the word and phrase testing system.
This would allow the user to select the words or phrases they want to test.
We are going to continue to create new content including items that deal with the issue of English numbers.
This is something that gives many of our users trouble.
These improvements to our system are all a direct result of user feedback so I would like to stress again the importance of providing us feedback whenever you can.
Send us an email.
Post something on our Forum.
The Forum is an excellent place to discuss our system and things we can do to make it better.
We encourage our community of "Linguists" to talk to us and each other on our Forum.
We will also be sending out surveys in the future.
Please tell us what you think.
Our goal is to be the number one resource for English learners worldwide.
