Asia I like to travel to Asian countries. That's because many things are quite different from my country, Japan, even though Japan is a part of Asia. I read a book about Vietnam because of the reason above. The writer of this book works for a newspaper company, so the descriptions in this book are quite simple and easy to understand, even if you are just skimming. The article talks about what the writer experienced in Vietnam, actually. It seems quite real to me. The content covers the economy, the history, the culture and the war in Vietnam. It was really worth reading.I am happy that I read this book!

The Czech Republic To briefly introduce my particular country, I would like to write some words. The Czech Republic is a central European country which was a member of the former eastern European block. Nowadays, we are a new member of the European Union, slowly introducing the principles of stable democracy into everyday life. Our state is small with about 10 million inhabitants who speak the Czech language. Our neighbors are Germany, Austria, Slovakia and Poland, and the initial development of our long standing traditions was extremely influenced by the Germans For many hundreds of years, German was the official language in our state. This did not just begin during the second World War, but much earlier, during the Austro-Hungarian Empire, in which we were an associate for 300 years.

Our country is an industrial land, producing cars, glass, shoes, and so forth. In agriculture, we produce corn, potatoes and sugarbeets, and we have a small overproduction of milk and different types of meat. Economically, we are not as strong as other western European countries, but our performance is improving more quickly than theirs.

We are proud of our world famous composers, Antonin Dvorak and Leos Janacek Franz Kafka was a famous writer who lived in Prague. Many of our popular hockey players play hockey in the NHL. The Czech soccer team is ranked second in the world. Ivan Lendl and Martina Navratilova are Czech tennis players who left our country to become US citizens.

Our capital is Prague, one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. If you briefly visit that town, you can comprehend our nature.

Egypt Thanks for your email. I am really interested in writing to you regularly. Even if you do not know German at all, you can try to write in German. If you like, I will correct your text.

Tell me about yourself. What are your hobbies and interests?

Tomorrow, I will fly to Egypt for two weeks. This is my fourth trip to Egypt. This time, I will travel with my girlfriend and other friends of mine. Of course, we will visit the capital city. Cairo is an amazing city. It has a metropolitan area population of approximately 15.2 million people. Once, I heard that 20 million people live there. For someone like me, who lives in a country with 7.2. million people, it is almost unimaginable. We will see the markets, the Great Pyramid of Giza and other less famous pyramids. After four days, we will travel to Luxor, another town on the Nile River. There, we will visit the Luxor Temple and the Valley of the Kings. The whole second week we will spend in Hurghada, El Gouna. There we will enjoy the Red Sea.

I will tell you more after my holiday.

Yours truly,
