When God sent an angel to rescue him, Peter was sleeping very deeply. The angel had to shake Peter hard in order to awake him!

The Bible does not say that God always rescues people from their difficult situations. But it does talk about him being a shelter and a strength for people who call on him. It says that he is ready to listen to our troubles. He can lift the heavy load of worry from our shoulders. All we need to do is ask - and believe.
