Lingq Baseball Podcast 4 23 2009

Let's take a quick run around the league. Dodgers were hot, winning eight games in a row, but those eight games were against the questionable National League West. As of this podcast they've lost two in row to the Astros who aren't so great themselves. The Astros of course play in a hitter's ball park and with a line up like the Dodgers have they have no excuse for not scoring a boat load of runs. What else?

What else?

Toronto in the American League East is surprising some people, those people are not me though. They stacked up wins against Detroit, Cleveland, and Minnesota so they still have a lot to prove. I still doubt they go anywhere though the Yanks, Red Sox, and Rays are far too stacked to allow the Blue Jays to stay in first place for long.

In the AL West Vlad is still a big question for the Angels. The Angels are sitting in last place but that division is so weak, I still think the Angels take it with ease. It could be a blessing in disguise for them if they end up seeded lower in the playoffs because of this slow start.

A lot people seem to be saying that St. Louis is playing great, but I'm not sure about that. Certainly they deserve to be in first place most of their wins up to this point have been against teams like Houston and Arizona though. They lost two important games to the Cubs, who is who the Cards will be fighting for the first place spot with. They've played well against the Mets though... What do you guys think? Who wins the NL Central and why? That's the question of the week... I'll look for your answers on the forum... Thanks a lot... see ya....
