The Alphabet

The Alphabet: A The letter A is the first letter of the English alphabet and the first letter of many other alphabets. A is in the words “Ah!” “Argh!” and “Aww.” B B is the second letter of the alphabet. The words “Bacon” “Best” and “Beautiful” all begin with the letter B. C The third letter of the alphabet is C. “The cat chases the mice” shows many of the sounds this letter can make.

D The next letter of the alphabet is D, the fourth letter of the alphabet. “Don't drink and drive” is a common expression used to warn people not to drive drunk. E E comes next. It's the fifth letter. “Eek!” is something you can say when something scares you.

F F comes after E. It's the sixth letter of the alphabet. F is an important letter to know if you want to talk about your friends, fish, or fruit.

G The seventh letter is G. “A giraffe shrugged at a giant gorilla” is an example of the different ways to say the letter G. H The letter H is the eighth letter of the alphabet.
