What's New at the Linguist, February, 2005

I was hoping to be able to talk about all the fantastic changes we have made to our front page and also the changes we have made to our Membership Levels. Unfortunately, as in all projects involving computer programming it seems, we were unable to meet our scheduled launch date for the “new look” Linguist website. Therefore, what I will do instead, is talk about the changes that you will be seeing when our new look is launched this coming Monday, February the 21st.

On the new front page you will see that Steve will figure more prominently. We believe that Steve's story, including the method he developed and the fact that he used this method to master 8 foreign languages, is a very compelling reason to give The Linguist system a try. In addition we like to think the new look is more pleasing. Obviously the better our site looks and the more compelling the story we tell, the more likely people will try us out and find out for themselves what a remarkable system we have.

The other major news is that from now on we will have only 2 membership levels, Basic Membership and Premium Membership. Both levels of membership will offer writing correction, speaking, and personal tutoring. Premium Membership has not changed and Basic Membership is now a scaled down version of the same services that were only available in Premium before. Please check our website for details.

Of course offering this additional level of service, which is what many of our members have been asking for, does come with a price. Our new Basic Membership will now cost 35 US Dollars a month. (We are standardizing to the US Dollar so that our pricing will be clearer to our international audience). Our Premium Membership will be priced at US$79, which is the US Dollar equivalent of the present price.

As always we are interested in hearing from all of you. Let us know what you think of the changes.
