Maybe it's because I'm a guy, but I just don't understand cooking. It might be cheaper, but is it really worth wasting all that time? I'm not sure. Today we cooked some meat while spending time with my wife's friend's cat. My wife's friend is away visiting her family, so we're supposed to feed her cat and spend time with it so it doesn't feel lonely. So we decided to make dinner there. It took way too long. I feel like I could have gotten a lot of reading done, instead I was cooking. Blah.
