00 - Letters from my cottage in England, - Letter no 4

Letters from my cottage in England, Letter no 4 Am I furious!!! No. 4 received an anonymous parcel, a garden gnome which is worse still than the one I liberated last month. Each time I pass their door ‘he' starts singing “Je ne regrette rien”. It's unbearable! It must have come from you! No-one else would be capable of something like this. How dare you do it to me!? You are putting a great strain on our friendship…. I'm tempted to keep stumm* about our scandal and its consequences, which still muddy the waters… Yes, exactly, that's it, I've made up my mind: I shall punish you by my silence regarding all the juicy details (and they are juicy). Let's talk about something else. No doubt, you remember Annabelle, one of the French assistants at the fortnight's training with Byron Katie at The School of the Work in 2007? We've been doing The Work (Le Work in franglais) quite regularly on Skype, but in English. She now wants us to record a session in French for her website. That'll be quite amusing: me with my German accent and my fear of speaking in front of strangers! An unlikely scenario, but who knows? Bye for now.

* keeping stumm = colloquial for not talking about something
